En Vogue Settle Legal Battle Over Band Name
Looks like we won’t get our En Vogue reunion like we wanted, the members of the group battle in court over the name “En Vogue.” According to legal documents, a judge granted “En Vogue” founding members, Cindy Herron and Terry Ellis the exclusive right to use the name “En Vogue” while performing and touring after a legal battle with former members, Maxine Jones and Dawn Robinson. Check out what was really going on…..Cindy and Terry sued Maxine and Dawn for the name plus $1 MILLION in damages back in 2012. They claimed Maxine & Dawn were illegally touring under the “EV” name after the band broke up … but had no right, since Cindy & Terry owned the LLC. Well the judge went in favor of Cindy and Terry, giving them the name but said the duo failed to prove damages and were awarded no money.
