Nick Cannon Honored For Charity Work & Achievements

Nick Cannon has been named the 2013 All-Star for ADCOLOR, a charity celebrating diversity in media related industries. Cannon will be honored during the Awards and Industry Conference in Beverly Hills, CA this September. Being recognized places the San Diego native in a class with previous winners, Ervin “Magic” Johnson, Queen Latifah, Russell Simmons, George Lopez, and Boris Kodjoe. “I am so honored that ADCOLOR has chosen me for this year’s All-Star award.  I am humbled to join the company of the honorees of years past who I admire and to be a part of this special annual event,” Cannon said in a statement. The 32-year-old was selected for his various achievements across the entertainment board, and his charitable endeavors. He will receive the honor alongside 21 individuals and companies within the advertising, marketing, media, PR, and entertainment industries. The ADCOLOR Awards and Industry Conference is set for September 19- 21st at the The Beverly Hilton.

Jada Pinkett-Smith Brings ‘Queen Latifah’s’ NEW Talk Show To CBS

Jada and Will Smith know they be killing the game. They go from starring in, directing, producing and EXECUTIVE producing shows. They be on that ‘Hustler Issh‘ and I ain’t MAD at em. Jada just announced via her FB page that they’ve gotten the green-light on a new talk show that will be hosted by her long-time “Set it Off” co-star and friend “Queen Latifah.” The show will be on CBS this fall and will feature celebrity interviews, music performances, human interest stories, and stand-up comedy acts.

The Queen Latifah Show Is Returning To Daytime TV

The Queen Latifah Show is returning to daytime television. Sony Pictures Television will distribute the show that is being produced by Flavor Unit and Overbrook Entertainment. The show originally aired from September  1999 to August of 2001 on syndication as a weekly talk show.  According to Sony Pictures TV, the show will debut on CBS on September 16th at 11am.

Queen Latifah, Diddy, Big Sean & More Honor Mary J. Blige At Vibe Impact Awards [PHOTOS]

Mary J. Blige was the special honoree at the Vibe magazine Impact Awards in Los Angeles Friday (Feb. 8). Blige was singled out for her longstanding music career as well as relationship with the publication, of which she has been on the cover of 10 times. Diddy, Queen Latifah, Big Sean and Jermaine Durpi were some of Blige’s industry friends who showed up to give her their support. A tribute video, featuring others close Queen of Hip-Hop/Soul, was played at the ceremony.  Oprah, Keri Hilson, Big Sean, Common, T.I., Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson and Anita Baker shared qualities that they love about Blige during the recording. Baker also spoke at the ceremony, crediting Blige with some of her career success. The night was also a celebration of Vibe magazine’s 20 years in the game, and kicked off a year-long list of similar events. For the last two decades, Vibe has worked its way to become one of the most successful brand names in Hip-Hop by staying on the cutting edge with its content. Malibu RED and Sole Impact sponsored the awards show, while guests dined on a three course meal, and complementary drinks from the company. Nick Cannon acted as DJ for the Impact Awards after party, which was attended by Prince, MC Lyte, Too $hort and more. See photos below.

Juice (Full Movie)

Juice is a 1992 American crime drama film that stars rapper Tupac Shakur and Omar Epps. Additional cast members include Jermaine “Huggy” Hopkins, Khalil Kain, and Samuel L. Jackson; the film features cameo appearances by Queen Latifah, EPMD, Special Ed, Ed Lover, Doctor Dré, Flex Alexander, Fab Five Freddy, and Treach. The film was directed by cinematographer Ernest R. Dickerson who has directed and written other Hollywood films such as Surviving the Game and Bulletproof as well as some television series such as ER and The Wire.

The film touches on the lives of four black youths growing up in harlem. It follows the day to day activities in the young men’s lives starting out as innocent mischief but growing more serious as time passes by. It also focuses on the struggles that these young men must go through everyday as well such as police, harassment, and their families.
The film was shot on location in New York City mainly in the Harlem area.
